Steve Jobs's 2005 Stanford commencement address

The part I like the most about this speech is how he emphasizes not to bow down to other people's dogma. In other words, to keep a firm ear to ground of YOUR OWN truths, your own goals, intentions, and inner voice (or voices if you tend to be multi-personalitied). I like this reminder because in this new world of constant chatter, internet opinions, self educated "experts", one can be easily distracted (even momentarily) by the sounds of other's fears, outrage, feelings and biases. We all are human. We can all share, and enjoy the community of social networking...but i think staying firmly truthful to one's own inner voice is a goal worth fighting for. Only then can we reach our full potential and quite possibly discover our individual purpose of being on Earth.
